summer hair

The weekend after school got out Parker shaved Easton's head.  It was getting so shaggy and it is nice that I don't have to put gel in it anymore.

preschool graduate

Keagan has officially graduated from preschool.  She was so excited and insisted on wearing her wedding dress for the graduation.  Luckily, her little friend wanted to wear his batman costume, so she wasn't the only one "dressed up."

Talking with her teacher after the graduation.
Her teacher, Ms. Karli.  We loved her.
Her other teacher, Ms. Konnie.  We loved her too.

Her teacher made this cute picture setting for the kids.
She looks ecstatic in this one.  I love it.

Good job, sweet girl.  You have done amazing this year and we are so excited for you to go to Kindergarten next year!

last day of school

Easton's last day of school.
sad faces because school is over.
 now happy faces.

 funny faces.
it has been a good, crazy year for Easton.  he learned so much this year and (most days) loved school.

memorial day

memorial day weekend.  we always go to the cemeteries to visit the grandparents and my dad's sister on Sunday.  the kids all think they are so strong carrying the flowers to each grave.  then hearing Buddy's stories about each person as we stop at the graves.  a good tradition.

then on Monday we go to JoJo's house for sourdough pancakes.  soooo yum.  then the annual wiffle ball game with all the cousins.  watching my super competitive cousins be cute with the littles as they get up to bat.  and all the uncles trying to act like they are 30 still....  :)

easton waiting patiently for his turn to bat.  he was so cute cheering on his teammates.

 out in the field.
then off to grandma and buddy's for a bar-b-que.  we did the sprinklers before it turned chilly for the evening.

a good family weekend.

mother's day

I am not going to lie...I have never liked Mother's Day.  I don't really know why, I just think it is a stupid holiday.  This year I didn't mind it as bad.  My kids were not perfect, but I was okay with that.  My house wasn't spotless, but I was okay with that.

As stupid as I think Mother's Day is, I am so blessed to be a mother to these two crazies.  I don't know what I would do without them.  They make me a better (and sometimes crazier) person.

reminiscing

one of my all-time favorite teachers was retiring this year, so me and a couple of friends met up to go to her retirement open house.  it was good to see her and see our old pictures that she had displayed.  oh, the early 90s....cute hair.

she seriously was the best.  she helped instill a love of learning for me that has never left.
