green, green, we love green

could these be the cutest kids you have ever seen?  yes, they could.

outtakes:
 "Keagan, don't kiss me!"
"Whatever, just do it and leave me alone."
 funny faces
extra funny face

We set up a trap out of Legos last night to try and catch a leprechaun.  Sadly, he got away, but he did leave a note for the kids and some chocolate treats.  He also colored our milk green (the kids loved that).

May your day be filled with GREEN!

Guess who is 6?

this adorable boy.  He said it was the best birthday ever.  Phew.  :)

We started out singing (loudly) to an embarrassed boy in the morning.  Then school (we took doughnuts yesterday because his teacher was going to be gone on his actual birthday).  While Easton was at school, Keagan and I baked an awesome cake and wrapped the presents in Christmas paper and packing tape.  (Yep, I'm awesome and super prepared.)  Then we went to go get him from school and go out to lunch with Daddy.  We went to J Dawgs and Easton informed me while eating the hot dog that was as big as he, "This is the BEST hot dog I ever had!"  Then the boys went to a birthday movie, "John Carter."
Then we met my mom and sister at Chuck E Cheese (1st time my kids have been there) and had a little birthday party there.  We had pizza and the kids played games and got silly prizes with their tickets.  They were in heaven.  After that we went back home and had cake and ice cream and opened presents.  Whew.  Busy day for a six year old, but he said it was the best ever.

Keagan was terrified of this ride and after I took this picture almost broke into tears begging to get off.
 Easton loved it.
This one was more Keagan's speed, one that barely moves....
 Back at home, opening presents.
a REAL horseshoe from Oma and Opa.  Oma went to the George Strait Ranch to get it for Easton.
 "This is awesome!"
 Cheese!
He told me the candles were gross.
Love these two crazies.

Happy birthday, Easton.  You are such an awesome kid and a sweet, sweet boy!  We love you so much.

I'm pretty awesome

while in the kitchen with Keagan baking a cake for the 6 year old, we had music on and were singing and dancing.  Keagan looks at me and says, "Mom, stop it, you are creeping me out."

nice.

I'm pretty awesome at dancing, I guess.  enough to creep out a 4 year old.

Easton's bday is today and will post later about it.  :)

some needed R and R

This past weekend the kids and I went up to Park City with my mom.  It was a nice, needed break.  My car has been broken for the past month, so I was feeling very stir-crazy.
We went swimming a couple of times, saw The Lorax, and played in the snow.
The snowplow at my parents condo built us a nice hill for the kids to sled down.  It was over 6 feet.

Keagan wasn't feeling too great, and didn't last long the first day playing, but did better the 2nd day.

This is what I got when I told Keagan to smile.
 Making snow angels
Keagan didn't have any snow pants this year, although there hasn't been much snow, so it hasn't mattered much.  We went and got some and got a size big to last for next year.  She loved them.

 Yes, I was there!

 Mmmm, snow.

 Starting to make a snowman

Our finished snowman.  We made him right by a turn in the cross-country ski track, so the skiers could enjoy him.

It was so pretty up there with all the snow, and much needed relaxation.

dinosaur museum and Bean museum

Keagan's preschool had a field trip in January to the BYU dinosaur museum and the Bean museum.  Easton got to tag along with us.

the kids got to pet a real snake at the end.  both kids did it and were so proud of themselves.
