Keagan's preschool graduation

At the end of May Keagan had her pre-school graduation.  She still has another year of pre-school (the joys of fall birthday), but she was still so excited for her graduation.

happy mother's day

my mother's day photo with my sweet, crazy kids.
love these two.

Parker and the kids got me a Kindle Fire and made an awesome dinner.  And any of you that have had Parker's cooking, you know it was GOOD.
I am lucky.  :)

cousins, 2

So, while Shelley and the babies were here we had an impromptu family reunion with my dad's side of the family.  My dad told Easton to bring his baseball mitt so they could play catch and a little baseball.  Easton almost threw a fit because he didn't want to.  (back story: his daddy could not care less for baseball and kind of projected that onto Easton.  So, Easton hasn't had a ton of experience with baseball.)  I finally convinced him to take it.  He didn't stop playing baseball or catch all day long.  He loved it.  My brother-in-law played catch with Easton and cousin Max when we first got there and then my dad played with him and threw some pitches to him to hit.  Then my cousin, Logan, played with him and was teaching him catching techniques.  He loved it.  Sorry, Parker.  :)

cousins!

Aunt Shelley and Remy and Kasen came to visit over Mother's Day weekend.  My kids were so excited to see them and play with them.

We babysat while Shelley was getting her haircut.  Keagan was a good little helper and the babies loved her.
One day we went to the park while Easton was at school.

Remy thought Keagan's bike was pretty cool.
back at Grandma's house.  my kids love pushing each other in the umbrella stroller....  I have no idea why that is so fun to them, but it keeps them entertained, so who am I to question.

pretty princess

Keagan had a friend birthday party a couple of weeks ago.  The theme was Princesses....of course, Keagan was very excited.  She picked out a dress-up and we did her hair as princessy as I know how....and she even wore high heels.  It was adorable.  She had so much fun.

"Let's go fly a kite..."

"...up to the highest heights.  Let's go fly a kite and send it sailing!"
The kids got kites from the Easter bunny, so we had to take them to the school field on a day that was windy.  Keagan got a little nervous when the wind was too strong and gave the kite to me, but Easton loved it and did awesome.

Flat Stanley and Flat Easton

Easton's kindergarten class read the book "Flat Stanley" before spring break and then the kids got to take their own Flat Stanley around during spring break.  We went up the Aviary with our cousins.
Keagan, Easton, and Flat Stanley at the bottom....
The peacocks were a big hit.

And, of course, we had to get a picture with the flamingos for Oma.  She loves them.
It was a nice day and we had the place almost to ourselves.  We went back to the cousin's house and waited for Uncle Lawton to get off work and then we went out to dinner.  As we were at dinner a huge storm came and drenched us on the way to the car.  I am so glad it was nice during the day so we could actually play!

Easter Sunday

Despite it being a month later with posting, Easter did actually happen at our house.
We went to church and the Easter bunny came while we were there.  Smart bunny....he knows that Mom is stressed enough to get two kids ready for 9 o'clock church without craziness of Easter baskets.
(I had ordered Easter clothes for the kids, a cute dress for Keagan and a cute church shirt for Easton, but they came the DAY AFTER Easter!  Seriously, Fed Ex?  The day after!!)

Best Buddies---some of the time.  :)

showing off their cool, new watches from the Easter bunny
Side note:  the watches were a cool idea, however, the Easter bunny did not think about having to hear about the time every 3 minutes for a straight 2 days.  sigh.
Parker always tries to catch the Easter bunny, much to my kids dismay.  This year, he was foiled again and the Easter bunny got away, but left the big bear in the trap instead.  The kids thought that was awesome.
Easter Bunny 3....Parker 0

family egg hunt

we did a family Easter egg hunt on the Saturday before Easter.
(yes, Easton's hair is much better and more manageable this way.)
the kids lining up getting ready to start

 My sassy pants
 diva Keagan
I love the space where he lost his tooth.  His new tooth has grown in a lot and it is sad to me.  I love the missing tooth phase.  I can't wait for him to lose his top middle teeth.
Aunt Ashley got pop-rocks for the kids to try.
 loved his reaction

Aquarium

At the end of March, Keagan's preschool had a field trip to the aquarium.  I took Easton along and was able to get him back in time for Kindergarten....only being 10 minutes late!
Um, yea....Easton's hair was a MOP!  After seeing these pictures, Parker took him to get his haircut.  :)
The kids loved it and liked that we just wandered the aquarium by ourselves.

Easton loved this...it was by the tank for the electric fish and when you put your fingers on it, you got a small tingle in your fingers.  He thought it was awesome.  Keagan screamed....

A fun, quick trip to the local aquarium.  Nice for a windy, cold, spring day.
