Doctor, Doctor
Did more blood work yesterday. The nurse called me this morning and said I am doing well. My billirubin is down to 2.6. So, we are getting there. For those of you who I haven't told, normal billirubin levels should be at 2.2. Liver failure is in the 20's and the highest I got was 12.7, so I was halfway there! CRAZY! All from Mono--stupid virus! But, things are looking up. I still have to get my blood drawn every week until the doctor feels okay about releasing me into the wild, but if I am getting better, then prick me all you want--well, okay maybe not all you want!
So, on Easter Sunday, Parker was talking to his sister on the phone and was telling her (I was eavesdropping--not really because he knew I was in the room with him!) how one day he was driving and he had to pull over because he started crying about me being sick. I didn't know he was that concerned--we were all concerned, but he always had on the strong, "You'll get better" attitude. I guess trying to make it easier for me. I just thought that story was sweet.

Double Trouble
So, I want to get a double stoller. I have no idea what to get, a side by side or a front to back . . . if anyone has any suggestions or comments, let me know!
Spring has sprung!
Yipee, spring is here! I am so glad! Especially since February was spent in the house, sick and yellow! On Monday, Easton, Keagan and I went for a walk with my mom, sister and nephew Max. My mom and Ashley were babysitting Max and then Andrea came and met us on our walk. It was so nice outside. Easton and I even got a little sunburned! I didn't even think about sunscreen--it is March! But, I should have known better-I am a redhead! Luckily, my mom thought about grabbing Keagan's little hat.

Let's go fly a kite, up to the highest heights!

Brunch with GG Sundberg
We had brunch at my Grandma Sundberg's assisted living center and the Easter Bunny came to take pictures with all the kids! Easton liked the Bunny from afar, but was kind of nervous when he was being held by the HUGE Easter bunny! Keagan, of course, was fine.

Checking out the Easter Bunny--still not sure about him. . . .
Easton and cousin Max. Max is almost 10 months old and was VERY nervous of the bunny, unless Easton was there with him.
The Easton Bunny is coming! (and his helper, Keagie)

Do I have to grow up?
So, Parker took my car in to get the oil changed today and my AC has been on the fritz, plus a brake light was out. So, they diagnosed the problem and is going to be a BIT more than just the cost of freon (what we were hoping). Who said growing up was fun? Sometimes I hate to be responsible and have to take care of things! Can't my mommy and daddy do it all still? Don't get me wrong, there are times when it is great to be an adult and are capable and responsible. Today I didn't feel like was one of those times! BLAH!!

Keagan's first solid meal!
Here is Keagan enjoying her first solid food! Yummy rice cereal! I gave Easton a taste and he thought it was "Cucky!" To be honest, it probably wasn't the best time to give it to her, she was sleepy and kind of ornery, but she is still cute with it!
Kiss me, I'm Irish--or at least married to one!
Happy St. Paddy's Day!! Being married to Parker (Irish heritage), I have to know it is St. Patrick's day, or I am in the dog house!! Yesterday we had corned beef and cabbage (sounds weird, but actually really good!) and today Lucky Charms for breakfast! Then the kids and I went to my sister Andrea's and did St. Patrick's Day cupcakes with all the sisters. Good Green Day!

Slowly, but surely. . .
Well, I went to the doctor yesterday and things are looking up. My billirubin is down to 5.7, last week it was up at 7 something. It peaked at 12.5, which they were nervous about, but it looks like I am going down. I don't have to go back to the doctor for 3 weeks!! Yipee! I have been going EVERY week, at least once a week for the past month. So, last week they sent my blood work to the expensive lab (my insurance better cover it!!) and they got the results back. They had been getting positives on 3 different viruses and were wondering if it was false positives. And it was. They got a positive on just one virus, the Epstein Barr virus (mono) and the rest were negative. The blood work also showed my body is starting to develop antibodies to the mono virus, so the doctor is hoping it won't be a problem in the future. So, that is the update on me!! Very good news!

24 reasons I love Easton
I am dedicating this post to my sweet boy. Since I have way more than 2 reasons why I love him, I decided to do 24, for 24 months. There are more than 24 also, but you get the point.
1-He made us a family, not just a couple.
2-He made me a mommy.
3-I got to see Parker in a whole new light holding his new little son, shining with joy.
4-He helped me love my parents even more.
5-When he randomly give me hugs and kisses.
6-When he tells me to "Sit" so we can read stories or play with his toys.
7-The way he backs himself up to me when I am sitting on the floor and plops down on my lap, like it is the only place he belongs.
8-The way he gets excited for almost anything.
9-The way he tells me stories with just his hands and his eyebrows!
10-The way he loves his little sister.
11-How he gets so excited to see Parker and makes Parker so happy.
12-How he loves any gift, even a pair of socks.
13-How he loves all his stuffed animals and is so sweet with them.
14-The way he says, "Aww" when he sees something sweet or cute.
15-How he freaks out about the lint between his toes.
16-That he loves to read books, just like Mommy.
17-How he and Parker rough house and behave just how boys should behave.
18-How he will giggle at the stupid things Parker and I do.
19-When he does his funny face.
20-When he makes a hat out of his bowl full of Spaghettios.
21-How he will sing into anything that he thinks could be a microphone.
22-How he is so empathetic towards people.
23-When he wears Parker's and my shoes around the house.
24-How he is 2 years old and still likes to cuddle with Mommy.

Sweet Memories
I was looking through a box the other day that has been hidden away in our garage and found some cards that people had written to me over the years. A couple from my mom, a couple from my Grandpa Haws, one from my little sister Ashley (WOW). They were so sweet and I just wanted to express my love to my family for all that they do for me and how much they mean to me. I wouldn't be where I am without them - and I think I am in a pretty good place!
Thanks!
Thanks!
My first post!
Well, here I go! I thought I would try a blog and see how it goes! I love reading friends and families and looking at the pictures, so I thought I would share our fun stories and pictures.
*Today has been interesting! Easton is almost 2 and has been crazy today. It needs to warm up so we can go outside and play!!
*Keagan is a wonderful baby, but is at the stage where she wants to be held ALL THE TIME! The joys of 2 under the age of 2!!
*Heard from the doctors office today and they sent all my blood to the fancy lab, so we don't know yet if my billirubin went down. I guess we will hear more on Monday. . . .hopefully. For those of you who don't know, I have had jaundice for the past month and the doctors have poked and prodded me and are trying to figure out what is going on.
*Our next door neighbors had their hot water heater explode a couple of weeks ago, so they have had a restoration crew come in every day and today they were especially noisy. Every time they would hammer and bang on the walls, Easton would look at me and say, "Mom, knock knock, Ho Ho Ho!" (He thought Santa was knocking on the wall) and then he would tell me, "Candy, Ho Ho." (Santa was knocking on the wall to bring him some candy!) The imagination of a two year old! So sweet!
