Oma and Opa visit
Oma and Opa came to visit in August for cousin Aidan's baptism. They were only here for a few days, but we loved having them. We went up the canyon one day and picnicked.

Beach Bums
While in California, we stayed only a few minute walk from the beach. It was beautiful. However, we were so busy, we only did the beach 2 days.

San Diego Zoo
The San Diego Zoo is awesome. We did this on our third day in California. By this point, we had been to SeaWorld, LegoLand, and the Zoo, so we were pretty tired and it was lots of walking, but the kids did great and didn't complain....too much. :)

always my favorite, the elephants
guess who lost her first tooth in California? Keagan was so excited! It had been loose and she wiggled it all the time, so it fell out faster than Easton's first tooth did, which seemed to take a couple of months. She was eating a cinnamon roll for breakfast and it came out in her cinnamon roll! The tooth fairy said that meant her tooth was extra sweet. She was so concerned that the tooth fairy wouldn't find her, but she did and she got $2 for her sweet tooth.
we stopped midday to get some lunch at a zoo cafe. holy. overpriced. It was ridiculous. $8 for a kids meal? seriously?
this set of pictures makes me laugh every time I see them. She is supposed to be a paleontologist, and I asked her why she was shooting and she said, "I kill the animals and then I find their bones." hmm...okay.

Easton showing me how he can balance like a flamingo
At the end of the day we were so tired and didn't want to walk all the way back to the front, so we took a bus to the sky ride and rode it to the front gate. Then we went into the shop and let the kids pick out souvenirs...well, Easton did. Keagan spent all her money the day before at the LegoLand princess section. surprise, surprise!
Easton+StarWars+Legos=happy little boy
