another Easton story---

Looking at the half moon last night, Easton told me the moon was broken.
And we needed to get a big net and get the moon and fix it.

Meet Houdini

Easton's newest friend.
He loves him and the little guy is always with him.
Yesterday during naps, I forgot to get the monster for Easton and he came, near tears and reminded me he needed his monster.
Thank you, kdollcreations!

Wahoo!

I won this cute monster from kdollcreations!
Easton is going to love it.
I want to get Keagan the pink one.

the Newest Eastonism

the other night Parker and his friend, Enoch, were rewiring the house for faster Internet. Enoch was in the attic (which I don't think Easton even knew we had until that night) doing all the nasty work and Easton kept saying to me, "Enoch is up in the attic. The Holy Ghost is in the attic too. I will save Enoch from the Holy Ghost." I then explained to him that the Holy Ghost is not a scary ghost, in three year old terms--I don't know if it stuck...we will see.

CHEESE!

Oh, I love this fiery, stubborn, crazy girl.

Easton

Easton has been potty-trained for a few months now, however still has accidents--which we fully expect. However when he purposefully goes and hides somewhere and does his business in his underwear and then comes and tells me, forcefully, to "Change me!" it gets me kind of upset. So, Parker made Easton clean out his own underwear last night and I don't think Easton got the fact that this was a punishment.

I wish I had gotten a picture with his face showing. I think he was actually having fun.

just had a traveling salesman at my door...

and he kept calling me 'Mom.' EW. I am not your mom. The only ones who are allowed to call me that are my children. Keep that in mind, all you traveling salespeople.
that is the downside to our neighborhood--we get a LOT of salespeople.

I am such a baby...

I cry at Hallmark commercials.

late Easter pictures

Had Easter in PC.
getting ready for the egg hunt. It was too cold outside, so we did it inside...with Buddy and the Uncles and Dads watching baseball (can't get my dad away from a Cubs game if some one's life depended on it.)
Keagan didn't really understand the whole idea, but if you took an egg she was going after--she would be ready with the dirtiest look (she gives really good dirty looks)
Easton, Keagan, Max
clean after baths
flying Easton's new kite

There wasn't a lot of wind to get the kite going, so Aunt Shelley thought of putting the kite in front of a fan inside. Easton loved it. (it didn't work as well as we thought, but he didn't care)
Park City has the best city parks. probably the outrageous property taxes they have to pay help with that.
at the music park
the kids sporting their sunburns and Oreo faces
poor Keagan's little cheeks were so red.
you would think by me also having fair skin, I would always remember the sunscreen, but unfortunately it takes the first burn of the year to make me remember.

Hoppy Easter!

From the Easton Bunny
and Keagie

Monday, April 6, 2009

It is all worth it...

Easton: Mom, guess what?
Me: What?
Easton: I love you.
Me: I love you, too.
Easton: You are my best friend.

This is what happens...

when Daddy does breakfast.
(No, it is not anything that would resemble a breakfast food--it is a piece of coconut pie...)

the Newest Eastonism

After Keagan threw her fork on the ground during lunch....
"Keagan, I love you, but that is po-piate." (inappropriate)

I think I flashed my ward when I got out of the car.

picnic for breakfast

When we first moved to this house, I started having a picnic breakfast with Easton every couple of months. I make muffins and put the tablecloth on the floor and we watch a cartoon while we eat. This is the first time Keagan has joined us on the floor and she loved it. It was messy, but fun. (I am very grateful for my vacuum...)

It has become evident....

that we have entered the clumsy stage of toddlerhood.
When she tries to get going too fast -- down she comes.
black eye, bump on the nose, fat lip....
This was two days after the incidents--so luckily the swelling and coloring has diminished a bit.
but, she sure looks cute in her Hawaiian dress from Grandma and Buddy.

party time, party time...

We started the festivities yesterday and went to dinner for Easton's birthday, which is a treat because usually Parker isn't even home from work when we eat dinner, so we took full advantage of it--especially me!

I was doing this face behind the camera to try and get him to smile and he decided to copy me.
At dinner a balloon guy came and made Easton a Batman.
the girls singing to him--he was so excited and told them 'thank you' after, which, of course, got a whole lot of 'he is so cute!'
opening some presents at Grandma and Buddy's
an updated family picture--except the kids are being weird for it--but at least Parker and I look good, right?
Easton wanted a superhero party this year and we invited all his little boy cousins--he surprisingly has 4 (that are in town--2 more outside)! This was his outfit.
Gray came decked out as Dash.
Aidan came as Spiderman.
I am so glad these were not noisy!
The party was a little crazy--6 little boys ages 4 and under--but it was fun. Easton had a blast and I am glad I did it. I only did an hour and during the party I kept thinking, "Maybe an hour was too long..." but it all worked out.
Poor Keagan needed some TLC after the party. She kept getting mowed over by the boys and with her just starting to walk, that was hard on her. She was not happy and just wanted Mom--except Mom was trying to entertain the boys, but thankfully Grandma and Aunt Amy were here to help.
All in all, it was a good day--a crazy, good day.

Easton is 3!

(LOTS of pictures)
As I look out the window and see the snow falling it takes me back to three years ago when the snow was falling after we welcomed this little guy into the world.
In the hospital.
He was such a perfect little guy, three weeks early (scared me to death) but he came healthy and beautiful.
in the jaundice bed at home
after his blessing--2 and a half months
9 months
I had these done by a lady from our neighborhood and I love them. They show his personality so well. I love the picture above--he is still madly in love with his blanket.
15 months
(I have never really thought that Easton and Keagan looked alike, but I can see so much of her is this picture.)
17 months
right before his world gets turned upside down with a new sister.
almost 19 months
I guess it didn't get turned too much upside down.
feb. 2009
Feb. 2009
It was really quite funny as I was looking through pictures for this post. I have a million (not really a million-but close) pictures of Easton and I swear one packet looked all the same--probably done in a two day time period. He is my first--I guess that is all I can say.
(Sorry to Keagan...I don't have that many of you.)

Stats

Easton--29.1 lbs. (25th %)
Keagan--21.54 lbs. (22nd %)
18.4 inches (68th %)
Took the kids in today for checkups and they are doing great.
True to Keagan's nature, she glared at the doctor the whole time.
True to Easton's nature, he decided he was a doctor for the rest of the day and kept wanting to listen to my heart and check my eyes and ears.
They did an eye checkup on Easton--first time--and he was so funny. The nurse came into the room to review the shapes before she took him to test him. The shapes were a square, a house, an apple and a circle. While she was testing him, he would say the square, and then the apple he whispered to me, "It looks like something you eat." And the circle he whispered to me, "It is an orange." He passed.
