This is so RARE!

After church, which is at 9am, Keagan is so tired, but it is so rare for her to sleep in our arms lately. She is getting too independent and wants to sleep in her crib. So last week after getting Easton his lunch, imagine my surprise to come into the living room and find her CRASHED in Parker's arms. It was so sweet. I took her to lay her in her bed and she stayed asleep. Of course, because of the rarity, we had to take some pictures to document that it actually happened!

You can see her top teeth in this picture. She now has 6 teeth!
Mr. Cheese. I love Easton's smile lately. He scrunches up his nose and it is so funny. This is the "Show me your SMILE" face.
I asked Keagan to show me her dress. This is a 3-6 month dress and as I am surprised it still fits(she will be one in a couple of weeks), I am glad. I love this dress and will be sad when she finally grows out of it.
She doesn't like the flash on my camera.
I had her standing so I could take pictures of the dress and while she loves to stand, she doesn't know how to sit down by herself, so she was mad at me because she was stuck holding onto the cabinet.

A little R&R

My parents had their condo in PC this week and I took the kids up for a couple of days. Parker had to work, so he had to stay by his lonesome... :(
It was nice to get away and relax, not worry about (too) much and just play with the kids.

Baths in the kitchen sink--there are bathtubs at the condo, but for some reason, the sink is WAY better!

Of course, if Keagan got to do it, Easton wants to do it too.

look at that shaggy mop!
She got her top two teeth in the last couple of weeks. They are so cute, she is getting so big!

Heber Valley Camp

We had another family reunion this past weekend--other side of the family. We went up to Heber Valley Camp. The church owns the land and they use it for Girls Camp. We stayed in cabins-but there was hot water and electricity. It was really fun. I was worried about it--I am not much of a camper, but I am definitely glad we went. Easton had so much fun. The last day we did the ROPES course that they have. There is a spider-web that you have to weave through, balance log, and a zip line. I was not nervous about the zip line, until I got 30 feet in the air and had to walk across a skinny rope! But, it was worth it!

Haws Hopper

We had a family reunion up at a cabin in Bear Lake this weekend. It was so much fun to get together with everyone! Friday night, my uncle Nate and his kids did a family tree that they had made. It was so great--each of his siblings had a branch and got to put up leaves for all of their kids, kids' spouses and so forth.

Bear Lake

We went to the Lake the last day of the reunion. The kids loved it!! We all got a little burned--Parker and I the worst--I now have kankels--I am so swollen! Easton just got a little on his cheeks and Keagan under one eye-I am not sure how under just one eye--but we are grateful the kids are not so bad.

Sneak Peak Into Our Home

The rules are you have to take 10 pictures of the following things and you have to do it right away. No straightening, cleaning or wiping your child's nose. Then you tag six others.

I saw this on my friends blog and I thought it was fun!

1- What the family is doing right now....
napping
supposed to be napping--just waking up
and Parker is working
2- Self portrait
3- closet
Rock band has to be put up high so Easton doesn't get the drumsticks....4- bathroom
this is the kids' bathroom--mine is not picture worthy and I think it is funny how Easton lines up all his bath toys.
5- kitchen sink
I wish our sink backed up to a window, but it backs up to nothing--just counter.
I think that pizza pan has been in my sink for 3 days--I do the other dishes, but for some reason, I hate doing that one....I have no idea why!

6- favorite room (and I am adding favorite spot in your house)
family room
and my favorite spot--the chair. I always sit in this chair--you can see out the front window and I can see into Easton's room from it, and it is very comfy.

7- fridge
8- laundry room--or in my case TINY closet
9- dream vacation
Europe--this is a horrible picture, but someday I would love to go to Europe and tour and see all the places Parker has lived.

10- favorite shoe
just got these. I love flip-flops and these put a tiny bit of dressy to the normal flip-flop.

I tag Shelley, Geri, Susanna, Laura Smith, Lindsey and Lynsey

eight things

8/8/08
Here are eight things I am thankful for! (in no particular order)

1- Parker--he makes me a better wife, mother, and person. He is my best friend and I am so grateful we met--at 7/11. :)
2- My two, beautiful, healthy children. They bring joy (and sometimes frustration) into my life and I am grateful that they are happy and make me happy.
3- My family--parents, sisters and in-laws. I am lucky to have a "normal" family, who supports and loves me unconditionally.
4- Baby wipes- diapers, spit up, crayons on the counter--you name it, I have used baby wipes to clean it up.
5- The gospel. It has made me who I am--and for the most part, I like who I am. It has helped me in my struggles and has given me hope for the future.
6- Books. I am a bookaholic and reading helps me unwind and relax.
7- TV. Yes, I do have my guilty pleasures.
8- Electricity- and all that comes with that--internet, air conditioning, phone, etc. I am a modern girl and am proud of it. (thank you Mr. Edison!)

Keagan's 9 month appt.

Keagan had her 9 month appt. today--although she is 10 months in two days...I am running a little behind. She is doing great--tiny, but healthy.
She is a whopping 15 lbs, 5 oz.---the 1st percentile.....
and 27.75 inches---the 40th percentile!
Beautiful, tiny, healthy, HAPPY!
I got Easton weighed at the Dr., I was just curious--he is 26.6 lbs....he is almost 2 and a half!
I do feed my children--I promise!!!

some fun pictures

Last week, my sisters and I went to the Dinosaur Museum up at Thanksgiving Point. We were planning on doing the gardens too, but it was so hot outside, Andrea and I decided to leave after the museum. Easton loved the dinosaurs.
The boys had a lot of fun with the sand display--there was water running through it and you can make dams and mountains with the sand.
I wish I had gotten a picture of Easton's full body with the apron on--the apron was all the was to the ground and he looked so small and funny.
Evidence that Keagan was there
She hung out in her stroller the whole time with her blankie and fingers
Gage and Easton
My future archaeologist
Easton thought the shark was very "gig and cool" (Big)
all the boys--Max, Easton, Gage, Cayden, Mayson

I think mine does everytime I see these two happy faces.
